North Haven

Eva Lauteri, 87, of North Haven passed away peacefully Feb. 11, at Yale-New Haven Hospital with her family by her side. She was born in New Haven Feb. 21, 1933, and was the daughter of the late Peter and Barbara Gasperini Lauteri.

Eva graduated from Hillhouse High School and worked for Southern New England Telephone Company for more than 40 years until her retirement. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. Eva was quite the world traveler and was an avid collector of dolls and memorabilia. She enjoyed working out at the gym.

She was the beloved sister of Elisa Ferriolo and the late Mary Ryan and dearest aunt of Patricia Ryan (William), Jeremiah Ryan, Barbara Baillie (Mark), Elaine Longobardi (Neil), Charles Ferriolo, Sr., and Susan Johnson (Paul). She is also survived by many great-nieces and nephews. She was devoted to her family and will be greatly missed.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Wednesday morning, Feb. 17, at St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Barnabas Church, 44 Washington Avenue, North Haven and are also invited to attend the committal service immediately following in All Saints Cemetery. (Masks and social distancing strictly required for all services.) In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to CT Food Bank or a charity of one’s choice.
