Clinton

Marian S. Pisano, 96, of Clinton lived her life with joy. A friend to many and loved by her family, Marian passed away Feb. 6 at Middlesex Hospital. Married for 42 years to the late Benjamin Pisano, she and her husband enjoyed the “best of both worlds,” spending many warm winters on the Florida coast. The daughter of the late William and Eva Stuhlman, Marian was born Nov. 14, 1924, in West Haven.

She was predeceased by her two sisters, Mildred Stuhlman and Helen Wolfe.

A longtime resident of Clinton, Marian enjoyed many good friends and neighbors in town. An avid reader and outdoors woman, she was often at the Clinton library or taking walks on the Hammonassett boardwalk.

She was a loving mother to her three sons, Michael Irons (Marianne) of Madison, Christopher Irons (Dori) of Scottsdale, Arizona, and Steven Irons (Diana) of Clinton. Marian was the proud grandmother to five grandchildren and adored her six great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Henry Carter Hull Library, Clinton CT.

A private family remembrance is planned.
