Scott M. Steahle passed away Feb. 2 from complication of diabetes. Scott was born in Derby on Oct. 17, 1970, son of Aida (Ferrante) Steahle and the late Eugene P. Steahle.

He was the loving father of Cailan and Braedan Steahle, brother of Kathleen Steahle and her partner Anna Rodonski, and nephew of Michele Ferrante.

Scott was a longtime resident of Guilford and resided in Mystic. He is survived by his mother Aida; sister Kathy Steahle; aunt Michele Ferrante; his two children, Cailan and Braedan; and his former wife Shannon of Clinton.

Scott grew up and attended the Guilford Public Schools. Scott is a 1989 graduate of Guilford High School immediately following high school he received his automotive technical associates degree from Porter and Chester Institute. He was employed by Jerry’s Transmission in Guilford. Then went on to work on generators. He learned and developed his trade while employed by several major generator companies. At the time of his passing, Scott was self-employed and the owner of Shoreline Generator based out of Clinton.

He enjoyed spending time with his children. He looked forward to their days of fishing or having picnics at the beach. The family feels blessed to have been able to spend and share Christmas with Scott and the children. He was so happy. Scott was truly a “Great Guy” he was a passionate and kind soul. He could fix anything to help someone out at any time of the day. He will be missed by his family and the many lives he impacted.

Friends are invited to pass-through calling hours from 9:30 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 10, at the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church Street, Guilford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 10, at St. George Church, 33 Whitfield Street, Guilford. COVID-19 guidelines must be followed—social distancing and face masks must be worn. Burial will be held privately.

Registration is required! There will be a limit of 100 people in church.
