Thursday, Feb. 4, 2021, Gilles A. Laroche of Moodus passed away peacefully at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown. Gilles was born in New Haven Oct. 15, 1938, son of the late Phillipe Laroche and Isabelle (Roy) Laroche.
He was the beloved father of Cheryl Ghiroli and her husband John of Killingworth and the late Gilles Laroche, grandfather of Cassandra and Landon Ghiroli, and brother of Lorraine Cosenza and Claude, Robert and Roger Laroche. He was predeceased by his siblings, Giselle Lemieux and Normand, Camille, and René Laroche.
Gilles was the owner of The Frame Shop in New Haven and he had worked for Robert Fers, Inc., before retiring. He loved more than anything spending Sundays with his family. He will be sadly missed.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Chestelm for becoming his extended family and for providing a loving home for him for the last 15 years.
Friends are invited to Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 12, in St. George Church, 33 Whitfield Street, Guilford. COVID-19 guidelines must be followed—social distancing and face masks must be worn. Registration is required! There will be a limit of 100 people at Mass.
