Clinton

Denise Russell Rancourt 78, beloved wife of 47 years to the late Renald Rancourt, died peacefully at home Feb. 7, surrounded by her loving children. The daughter of Richard and Catherine (O’Keefe) Russell, she was born June 16, 1942, in Hartford.

She graduated from St. Joseph College in 1964. She worked many years as an insurance actuary for Aetna and Travelers before retiring and relocating to Clinton. Denise was always active in her community. Since moving to Clinton, she has worked for the department of youth and families, volunteered her time with Meals on Wheels, and shared her yard as a community garden. She loved playing bridge and made many friends doing so.

She is survived by her children, Linda Livengood and her husband Bill of Whitefield, New Hampshire, Donna Stahurski and her husband Stan of Moscow, Pennsylvania, Russell and his wife Julianne of Derry, New Hampshire, Kevin of Vernon, and Timothy of Rocky Hill; six grandchildren, Billy (Angel), Curtis (Samantha), and Carlene Livengood, Christopher (Ciaran) Christall-Stahurski, and Genevieve and Eden Rancourt; and four great-grandchildren, Jalynn, Haylea, Kendall, and Lily.

She was predeceased by her sister Catherine Claffey, and her brother Rev. Richard R Russell.

The family would like to thank two of Mom’s friends, Beverly and Paula, whose gracious assistance and dedication allowed Denise to remain in her own home up to the time of her passing.

Friends and family may visit from 10:30 to 11:50 a.m. Friday, Feb 12, at St Mary’s Church, Grove Street, Clinton. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at noon.
