On Jan. 2, Judith Marilyn Sjulander, a mother of three, grandmother of four, and wife to the late Nils O. Sjulander, passed away peacefully at the age of 79.

Judith was born in Boston, Massachusetts on Dec. 13, 1941. She was an only child to Beverly and Louise Ottaway. She attended Wellesley High School, where she met her husband, Nils. After high schoolm she attended beauty school and received her hairdressing license, got marriedm and had three children. Moving to Connecticutm she was a home maker and a devoted wife. She and her husband owned the house they raised their children in for 56 years.

Judi told it like it was, whether you wanted to hear it or not. She was full of love and stubborn, but always there for you. She also loved to care after her family, loved animals, and had a large collection of carousel horses. She spent much of her time playing Scrabble, completing word search puzzles, watching the Cooking Channel, and cooking for her family.

Judith is survived by her three children, Donna Wilson of Clinton, James Sjulander of Palm Coast, Florida, and Robert Sjulander of Hamilton, New Jersey. She had four grandchildren, Christopher, Niklas, Erik and Nicole. Her husband Nils predeceased her March 28, 2019.
