It is with deep regret that I announce the passing of my mother, Roseann C. Nygard on Jan. 14, a lifetime resident of Branford, born Sept. 25, 1927, to the late Louis and Rose Cimino.

The devoted wife of 70 years to the late William J. Nygard, she leaves behind sons William E. Nygard with fiancée Suzanne Sehen and myself, Mark L. Nygard with wife Rebecca; granddaughter Sara Nygard Starzec with husband Joey Starzec; and Angela Burr, Roseann’s loving sister.

My mother was a very active woman and gave her all in everything she did, including her golfing accomplishments, which are too many to list.

I will announce a celebration of life to take place in Branford sometime in early summer.

Many thanks to all her wonderful and loving friends who have helped and watched over her these last few years.

“Rest, my loving mother, for I will see you and all my loved ones and friends on the other side. May our Heavenly Father guide and comfort you”.
