Helen P. Jump, longtime resident of Killingworth, formerly of Guilford, passed away peacefully on Jan. 23. Helen was born in Brooklyn, New York on Nov. 5, 1929, daughter of the late Dennis and Sara (Fenrich) Regan.

Predeceased by her husband Richard L. Jump, Sr., and their infant son Kevin, she was also predeceased by her longtime companion and partner Thomas E. Adinolfi.

Helen is survived by her seven children, Richard and Melanie Jump, Patricia and John “Woody” Woods, Kathleen and Richard D’Amico, Eileen Jump and Dana Strickland, Thomas and Marnie Jump, Maureen (Jump) Martindale, and Denise Jump and Jason Schenker. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and her sister Joan Albertelli. She was predeceased by two sisters and seven brothers.

She was the stepmother of her Adinolfi family, Laureen and Michael Sunter, Dale and Oliver Bishop, Kimberly and James Corbett, Thomas Adinolfi, Jr., Michael and Diane Adinolfi, and Keri and Kelly Geoghegan.

Besides raising a family of seven, Helen worked at Dushkin Publishing for 20-plus years in the Finance Department. She adored her family and friends and loved to play cards and bingo and her wine. She also enjoyed camping, crossword puzzles, Jeopardy, dancing, and traveling to Florida for the winter.

Friends are invited to pass through calling hours from 5 to 7 p.m.on Wednesday, Jan. 27, at the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church Street, Guilford. COVID-19 guidelines must be followed—social distancing and face masks must be worn. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, at St. Lawrence Church, 3 Hemlock Drive, Killingworth. There will be a limit of 100 people at Mass. Burial will follow Mass in Resurrection Cemetery, Horse Pond Road, Westbrook. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, P.O.
