Victoria M. Fezza Tomaso, 98, of Cheshire passed away peacefully on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, 2020, at Yale New Haven Hospital. She was the beloved wife and soul mate of the late Joseph P. Tomaso. Victoria was born in New Haven May 21, 1922, and was the daughter of the late Andrew and Josephine Zito Fezza. She shared a special bond with each of her five siblings that lasted a lifetime.

Her daughters and loving sons-in-law were blessed to have a mother who led by example, lived a life selflessly devoted to family, and was always just a phone call away. Victoria will be remembered by family and friends as a strong and independent woman who radiated love and positivity, always had a smile on her face, and whose laughter was contagious. She was an inspiration to each of her five devoted granddaughters, who will always carry a piece of her in their hearts. Their spouses were her grandsons who lovingly called her Gram. And the sun rose and set on the heads of her 12 great-grandchildren who lovingly knew her as Nonni. Victoria was a wonderful cook of so many Italian foods and desserts which she loved sharing with her family. She crocheted afghans for her family, enjoyed crossword puzzles, and was an avid reader.

She was the mother of Joanne O’Connell (Craig) and Maria Volpe (Ralph); grandmother of Kristin Lentini (Bryan), Kelly Iannuzzi (Michael), Kaitlin Vernon (Zach), Melissa Vanasse (Ryan) and Amanda Jermine (Robert); and great-grandmother of Ashley, Tyler, and Andrew Lentini; Emma and William Iannuzzi; Jack, Peter, and Noa Vernon; Nathan and Matthew Vanasse; and Avery and Robert Jermine. She was the devoted and loving sister of Dr. Andrew Fezza and was predeceased by her brothers Dr. Michael Fezza and Alphonse Fezza and sisters Mary Diglio and Roseanne Fezza. She is survived by a loving sister-in-law, Louise Fezza; a loving cousin, Nancy DeMartino; and so many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
