John F. “Jackie” Katzenbach, 40, passed away peacefully Jan. 13, after battling a long illness. He was a 1998 graduate of Valley Regional High School and attended Mt. Ida College.

He is survived by his father Jack Katzenbach, sisters Mary Pat Murray (Tom Murray) and Betsy Katzenbach-Martinez, his niece Kellen Murray, and nephews Mike Murray, Nicholas Martinez, Matthew Martinez, and Paddy Murray.

Jackie was a lifelong New York Yankees and New York Giants fan. Anyone who knew him knew never to call during a Notre Dame football game, a love he shared with his late mother Joanne. He also enjoyed fishing, cooking, and concerts. Jackie was known for the funny gifts he would give his nieces and nephews at Christmas time. Memories of him and his love of music will live on with his family and friends in all the diverse songs that he enjoyed daily.

Due to COVID-19 precautions, a private Mass and burial will be held at St. Mary’s Church in Clinton. In lieu of flowers or donations, the family requests you give your loved ones a big hug each and every day.

Rest In Peace JFK.
