Deep River

Yves Maignan passed away Nov. 12 peacefully at home in Deep River surrounded by family after a hard-fought battle with cancer. He was a loving and caring person.

He is predeceased by two brothers, Charlot Maignan and Jules Maignan, and survived by his wife Justa Maignan; two sons, Jean Maignan and Yvens Maignan; three stepchildren, Yves-Thomas Aspilaire, Hennessy Aspilaire, and Marie Claire Aspilaire Menard; two sisters, Evelyne Maignan-Douyon and Venicienne Maignan; five brothers, Francis Brisson Maignan, Edvar Maignan, Calfred Vibert, Carlo Vibert, and Emerson Vibert; two grandchildren; and loving in-laws, nieces and nephews, cousins, and longtime friends.

In his early days, Yves was a great soccer player and a photographer. Yves loved to spend time at home with his family and watching wrestling. He will be fondly remembered by his family and friends as a loving and caring person, one who would give his all for anybody and wants nothing in return. Though he only lived 68 years, but his loving memories will forever live.

On Nov. 21, a visitation was held at Robinson Wright & Weymer Funeral Home in Centerbrook followed by a funeral Mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Essex. Services concluded with interment in the Centerbrook Cemetery in Centerbrook.
