Mary Ellen (Murry) Mitchell passed away on Oct. 8 after a battle with Lewy body dementia. Born on June 16, 1928, she was the daughter of William and Ruth Murry of Plain City, Ohio.

Mary Ellen was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be remembered best for her kindness, love of family, and Ohio State football.

She is survived by son Mark (Sue) Mitchell, their four children, Kelly, Brian, Katie, and Erik, their spouses, and numerous great-grandchildren. She is also survived by daughter Carol (Michael) Cuoco, their children Megan (Andrew) Hempstead and Dan (Julia) Cuoco, and great-grandson and namesake Marray Charles Hempstead.

The family would like to thank Ocean Meadow of Clinton for their care of Mary Ellen for the past two months, and also Vitas Hospice Care for their compassion and care during this difficult time.
