Catskill, New York, Branford

Regina Charlotte Davis, longtime resident of Catskill, New York and most recently of Branford, passed away Sept. 14 at Artis Senior Living of Branford. Ms. Davis was born in Manhattan, New York on Dec. 21, 1933, daughter of the late Clarence Davis and Regina (Gavin) Davis.

She was the loving sister-in-law of Lois Davis of Guilford, and aunt of Wendy Davis of Guilford, Christine Seniff of South Glastonbury, Jill Davis of Guilford, Debra Zimmerman of Guilford, and Sandra Canosa of Branford. She is also survived by grandnieces and grandnephews Cory Robbins, Aaron Davis, Hadley and Kyle Seniff, Benjamin Baldwin, and Samuel and Devin Zimmerman. She was predeceased by her brother Albert Martin Davis.

Before retirement, Regina worked as the secretary to the judge for the Hudson Court House, New York. Regina had a perpetually positive outlook on life, and her silly good nature made her always the life of the party. She enjoyed spending time with her many dear friends and family, traveling, and taking in shows in New York City. She was also known for rescuing cats and dogs, and for her vast collection of frogs. A talented artist, she excelled at photography and painting with watercolors.

Burial services were held on Sept. 21 in North Guilford Cemetery, 159 Ledge Hill Rd., Guilford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Northeastern Association of the Blind at Albany, 301 Washington Ave., Albany, NY 12206, or The Dominican Sisters of Hope, 299 N.
