Guilford

Natali George Acuil Angok, loving brother, uncle, and friend, passed peacefully at his home on Aug. 23 from a heart attack.

He was born in Wau, South Sudan on Sept. 3, 1982. He graduated Guilford High School and attended Gateway Community College. Natali's childhood life was tough for him, due to the civil war in South Sudan. He was with his sister Apiu and his mother and they were separated from his other siblings and family. He had to walk for thirty days from Tali, which was his nickname by the way, to join his siblings in Wau.

After that his mom sent him to join his other family in Khartoum, South Sudan. He joined his other siblings in Egypt, and after six months he moved to Guilford in 1999. He loved sports. He played soccer, volleyball, and was a long distance runner, in his days in Guilford High School, on the cross-country team.

Natali worked for many years as customer care specialist for Page Hardware Guilford. When Page sold their services department, he moved to the acquiring company General Appliances Services, Branford, where he worked until his departure.

Natali was really influential and involved in his nieces and nephews' lives. He was a loving uncle to his nieces and nephews, involved in everyday activities.

He is survived by his brothers Alfred from South Sudan and Gabriel of Manchester New Hampshire; his sisters Judita Angok from Melbourne Australia, Anyikor Acuil and brother-in-law Dut Malek of Guilford, Anel Acuil of Omaha, Nebraska, and Apiu Acuil of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and also nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents Cecilia Bushe Garang and George Acuil Angok, and his brother Acul George.

COVID-19 guidelines must be followed—social distancing and face masks must be worn.
