Michael J. Goclowski, 78, of East Haven, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on June 11 at his home. He was the husband of the late Kathleen Nunzianto Goclowski. He was born in New Haven on Oct. 20, 1941, to the late Henry and Hilda Guerri Goclowski.

He worked for nearly 30 years as a machine operator for Schiavone Scrap Metal until retiring in 1989. Mike was a member of the Teamsters, Local 443, loved his lady UConn Husky basketball team, enjoyed fishing and playing Bingo at Foxwoods, and lastly was a bowler at Cherry Hill Lanes.

He leaves a son, Albert H. (Julie) Goclowski, and Karen M. (Jason) Goclowski-Blasl, all of East Haven; a sister, Helen Goclowski of New Haven; and four grandchildren, Robert Russo, James Neal, Jushua DeLine, and Kylie Goclowski. He was predeceased by a sister, Hilda Goclowski.
