Philip Christian “Chris” Corarito, 51, of Clinton, passed away at Yale on July 10, with his children by his side.

Born in Bridgeport, Chris lived in Clinton his entire life. Growing up, he developed a bond with neighborhood kids, fellow athletes, and classmates who went on to become lifelong friends. He graduated from The Morgan School, where he took great pride as the football teams’ quarterback. He went on to make a life and reside in the town he loved. He helped coach youth sports for his kid’s athletic teams and when not doing that, he was boisterously cheering them on. Professionally, Chris gained his CDL license and worked in various construction related jobs throughout his lifetime, most recently with Fischer Excavating.

He was a down-to-earth and simple guy who didn’t need much. He had a passion for life and his charismatic personality, kindness, and love made an impression on all who knew him. No matter what life struggles were put in his path, he demonstrated resiliency. Chris loved being outdoors, had a deep appreciation for music, motorcycle riding, and being on the water.

His greatest joy was spending time with family and being a proud father to his children whom he loved unconditionally. Whether it was riding bikes around town, kayaking Clinton Harbor, riding motorcycles, attending concerts, or just watching a movie, he was happy to be doing it with them.

Chris is lovingly remembered by his children Emily and Eric Corarito and their mother Kim Ferraiolo, from Clinton; sister Lara Karg of Ivoryton and her husband Carl, nieces Aubrey and Julia, and nephew Austin; sister Liana Lilburn of East Lyme and nephew Jaden and niece Sabrina; uncle Cyprian Parmar of Massachusetts; aunt Barbara Corarito of Florida; cousins Regina Pierce of Milford and Gary Corarito of Florida; and the rest of his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Philip and Sandra Corarito.

Chris will be deeply missed and a void is left in our hearts and lives. The tremendous outpouring of love and support to our family from countless friends and acquaintances whose lives he touched and impacted, makes it clear how much he meant to so many. We take comfort in knowing he is now reunited with loved family members, friends, and loyal, faithful furry companions. The family will be planning a memorial and celebration of life for family and friends to be announced at later date.

As beautifully stated by his longtime friend Kim Sweeney, who loved him dearly, “The Lone Wolf…may he wander the lands, swim the seas, and soar the skies…”
