Nhi Ngo, longtime resident of Guilford and most recently of Branford, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, July 16 with family by his side.

Nhi was born in Saigon, Vietnam on Sept. 17, 1973. He grew up in Guilford and graduated from Guilford High School in 1992. He worked at St. Raphael-Yale New Haven Hospital for 11 years, and was well-known around New Haven where he led security services at several restaurants and& bars. Nhi was a lifelong martial arts devotee, gaming and movie enthusiast, and vintage comic book collector.

He is survived by father Nhon Ngo; mother Bach Nguyen; sisters Tien, Nhu, and Ly Ngo; niece Leela Weintraub; and Nhiko, his rescue dog and loyal companion.

Friends were invited to calling hours on July 20 at Guilford Funeral Home. Burial services will be held privately.
