On the night of July 15, Stanley S. French, 76, of Killingworth went home to be with Jesus. He passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Aug. 8 to Stanley Irving French and Cathleen Alice French of Chester. Stanley was a devoted Christian who led many individuals to the lord and remembered for the long lasting impact that he left on their lives.

He is survived by his life partner Patricia Aronson; siblings James French, Leslee Nichols, Lynn Roberto, Holly French, Beth Nichols, and Penny Karney; children James French, Denise French, Cathleen F. Andrew, and Heather Ellwood; grandchildren Stephanie Miceli, Jessica Vadnais, Chelsey French, Kristin French, Abigail Madden, Reese Ellwood, and Weston Ellwood; and great-grandchildren Marshall and Carter Lee. He was predeceased by Cathleen French and several nieces and nephews

He was a devoted member of the Signal Church and loved to drive across the country as well as local trips. He throughly enjoyed watching and feeding his birds and being a part of nature around him.
