Helen DeToro Cofrancesco died on June 21 at Brookmeade Center in Rhinebeck, New York. She was born in New Haven in 1926 to Alfonsina and Armand DeToro.

She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Alfred J. Cofrancesco, whom she married in 1950. Upon her marriage, she moved to Deep River where she raised her family and lived for more than 60 years. Helen loved her family, reading, movies, and socializing with friends. She was interested in politics and enjoyed watching political commentary on television. She was a beloved mother and grandmother known and remembered for her patience and kindness.

She is survived by three children, Beverly Cofrancesco of Seattle, Washington, Carla Dumont of Milton, Massachusetts, and Diane Cofrancesco of Red Hook, New York; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
