Constance Ann MacDonald Coletti of Monument Beach, Massachusetts, 90, passed away on May 18 from Parkinson’s disease. She was born July 31, 1929, in Quincy, Massachusetts to Constance Hoey MacDonald Burgess and Clarence R. MacDonald.

She attended the Woodward School for Girls, earned a BA from Wheaton College (1951), and spent the following year in Dijon, France on a Fulbright Fellowship. On March 15, 1952, while in France, Connie married her beloved husband Noel Vincent Coletti.

Connie was a devoted wife and mother of six children. She also had a long career in education, beginning as a teacher of French and Latin at The Gateway School in New Haven. Following completion of a master of science degree from Southern Connecticut State College (1969), Connie served for 24 years as a guidance counselor at Guilford High School, Guilford, and two years at Branford High School, Branford.

For several years she and husband Noel lived with and cared for Connie’s mother. The three travelled together extensively, enjoying trips around the US as well as overseas.

Moving to Bourne after retirement, Connie was an active member of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Falmouth, and a volunteer at the Aptuxet Trading Post, the Bourne Historical Society, and Meals on Wheels. Wherever she went Connie made true and lasting friendships.

Connie was an avid reader, accomplished knitter, wonderful baker and cook, lover of music, plays, nature, and of puzzles and games. In fact, upon seeing several grandchildren visiting in her last week of life, she asked them: “What will we play?”

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Noel Vincent Coletti; her sister Barbara Saabye (Allen); and her 5 remaining children, Judith LeBeau (Mark) of Monument Beach, Massachusetts, Sarah Coletti (Michael Biales) of Acton, Massachusetts, Ellen Coletti (Kevin Murray) of Roslindale, Massachusetts, Ted (Charles) Coletti (Patrice) of Killingworth, and Amy Allen (Fred) of Madison. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law Deborah Young Coletti, as well as her 15 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her eldest son, Noel Vincent Coletti, Jr., and her siblings Robert MacDonald, Jane Flanagan, Holly Richards, and Joan Muller.
