North Haven

Rose B. Russo Paturzo, 94, of North Haven passed away peacefully on June 20 at her daughter’s home in Hamden with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of 33 years to the late Louis N. Paturzo. Rose was born in New Haven on Dec. 20, 1925, and was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Josephine Criscio Russo.

She enjoyed bowling, dancing, watching the UConn women’s basketball and the New York Yankees, but most of all, Rose enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she loved unconditionally.

She was the mother of Connie Tyrrell (David), Louis N. Paturzo, Jr., (Sharron), and Theresa Ciarleglio (Sal); and the grandmother of Steven Tyrrell (Jennifer), Kelly Rainey (John), Tracy Tyrrell, Louis N. Paturzo III (Tawnya), Danielle Karcz (Brian), and Michael and Kimberly Ciarleglio. She was the great-grandmother of Gavin, Evelyn, Patrick, Anna, Peyton, Vincent, Kayla, Elijah, and Isaiah. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Ralph Russo, Florence Morro, Pat Russo, Josephine Torino, and Salvatore Russo.

Family and friends called June 24 at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave. A Mass of Christian burial followed in St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at Saint Barnabas Church, 44 Washington Ave., North Haven. Burial immediately followed the Mass in All Saints Cemetery, 700 Middletown Ave., North Haven.
