Jim Bergers passed on May 8 at Seasons Hospice in Deerfield Beach, Florida. Jim was one of five children born to William Bergers and Mary Medwesky Bergers in New Haven on Aug. 24, 1942.

Jim is predeceased by his parents and four siblings. He is survived by his two children, Britta Ann Bergers and Erik James Bergers, and his former wife Nicole M. Bergers, as well as many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and -nephews.

Jim served in the US Air Force as airman second class from November 1959 until he was honorably released from active duty in October 1963.

Jim will rest at the State Memorial Veteran's Cemetery in Middletown.
