Clinton

Sheila Jeanne Ostrander of Clinton passed away on May 25. She was born in Feb. 12, 1942, in North Adams, Massachusetts, the daughter of Matthew Earl Donovan and Doris Lamoureux Donovan.

Sheila was a school psychologist in the Madison School System for several decades, as well as a private practitioner serving children and their families along the shoreline. She knew her loving husband Bill since Kindergarten. They attended college together, and were married for 56 years. Sheila adored her grandchildren, Stephanie and Jake, and cherished every family event from holidays to watching them play sports.

She loved flowers, her gardens, and watching the hummingbirds outside her window. Sheila was an avid reader and participated in several book clubs. She cultivated many wonderful friendships over the years, both professionally and personally. Sheila had a flare for fashion, a smile that lit up the room, and a laugh that was insatiable. We will all miss you dearly but are comforted that you are at peace.

She is survived by her husband William Arthur Ostrander; children Steven Ostrander and his wife Bounmy Phansiri of Westbrook and Lisa Mansfield and her husband Christopher of Narragansett, Rhode Island; siblings Marilyn Gattuso of Naples, Florida, and Daniel Donovan of St. Augustine, Florida; and grandchildren Stephanie and Jake Mansfield.
