Old Saybrook

Patricia M. Little, 83, of Old Saybrook, passed away on March 22 at Yale-New Haven hospital after a brief illness.

Born in 1936 in New Haven to Harry A. and Jessie R. Anderson, Mrs. Little grew up in Naugatuck and graduated from St. Margaret's School and also from Colby Junior College for Women in New London, New Hampshire. She was a stewardess for American Airlines for many years, until she married David in 1961. They lived in Cleveland, Ohio after they married.

Moving to Old Saybrook in 1972 from Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Patricia held several jobs until her love of reading led to her calling as a librarian for Acton Public Library, a position she held and loved for more than twenty years; she retired in 2007.

Patricia is survived by her son David B. Little, Jr., of Clinton, and her daughter Amy Little Baird of Munford, Tennessee, as well as her grandsons Justin Little and Aidan Baird.

She was predeceased by her husband David B. Little, Sr., to whom she was married for 49 years; her sisters Barbara Peaker and Jeryl Rosavage; as well as her parents.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to The Friends of Acton Public Library in Old Saybrook or the Old Saybrook Ambulance Association, https://alma.app/charities/237396898-old-saybrook-ambulance-association, would have made her very happy.

There will be no calling hours due to Covid-19, but there will be a family gathering in Roscommon, Michigan, and a small family service where she will be interred with David at the Memorial Garden at the First Church of Christ in Old Saybrook.
