North Branford

Phyllis Verrillo, 87, of North Branford passed away peacefully on Feb. 28 with her loving family by her side. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Anthony G. Verrillo. Phyllis was born on March 8, 1932, in Bangor, Maine, to the late William and Phyllis (Driscoll) Ogilvie.

She loved growing up in Bangor, especially her grandmother’s farm. After moving to Connecticut, she and her young family traveled back yearly for family gatherings at her parent’s “camp” on Lake Lucerne. Phyllis’s greatest joy was spending time with her family, whom she loved unconditionally.

She was the mother of Gerald (Debra) Verrillo of Guilford and Cheryl (Douglas) Vine of North Branford. She was the grandmother of Tanya Vine, Jared (Lauren) Verrillo, Sharon (Mike) Ferrara, Tim (Julia) Verrillo, Douglas (Kelley) Vine, and Kelsey (Brett) Leis. She was the beloved great-grandmother to eight children. She is also survived by her brother William (Arlene) Ogilvie and her nephew and many nieces.
