Guilford, Greenville, Tennessee

Joseph F. Lipinski, Jr., longtime resident of Guilford, and most recently of Greenville, Tennessee, passed away Feb. 22 in Tennessee. He was the husband of the late Diane Lynn Augur Lipinski. Joseph was born in Mt. Carmel, Pennsylvania, on Aug. 15, 1938, son of the late Joseph Francis Lipinski and Grace Yoder Lipinski.

He was the loving father of Kevin Lipinski and his wife Kelli of North Haven; Steven Lipinski of Ellsworth, Maine; and Joseph Lipinski and his wife Lisa of Augusta, Maine. He was the stepfather of Arthur Camera of Moosup, and Kimberly Camera of Everett, Washington. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, William and Madison Lipinski (North Haven); Joseph A. Lipinski (Augusta, Maine); Alicia Harriman (Bangor, Maine); and Emily and Zachary Camera and Megan Dills (Everett, Washington). He was the brother of Judith Ames of Connecticut. He was predeceased by brother Gerald Lipinski and sister Violet Coleman. He is also survived by his nieces Nina DePonte of Branford and Debbie Williams of East Haven.

Before retirement Joseph worked for the Guilford Police Department for more than 20 years. He was a proud veteran of the US Marine Corps. Joseph enjoyed traveling with his wife, family, and friends. In his final years, he enjoyed spending time with his partner Opal Tolliver and family, along with their two dogs Honey and Tater, of Mohawk, Tennessee.

Calling hours were held on March 2 at the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church St., Guilford. Funeral services followed at the Guilford Funeral Home. Burial with Military Honors was held in East Lawn Cemetery, 58 River St., East Haven.
