George passed away peacefully on Feb. 14 at the age of 77 at his home in Guilford surrounded by family. He is survived by his wife Bette Beauvais; sons George, Jr., and his wife Ann Marie, and Peter and his wife DeeAnn; and his stepchildren John Suker and Rebecca Hunt. He is also survived by his brother Charles Beauvais (Lori); sister Carol Loizeaux (Bob); sister-in-law Kathy Beauvais; and stepsister Bea Spadoni (Gary). He is also survived by his grandchildren Jessica Jennings (Dan), Alec, Aiden, and Jacob. He leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his first wife Judith and his brother Albert.

He was a self-employed plumbing and heating contractor serving the shoreline for more than 50 years. He loved being on the water and being a part of the fishing community. George had a kind heart, contagious smile, and gentle soul, and touched many lives. His absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.

There will be a graveside service on Saturday, Feb. 22 at Alder Brook Cemetery, 355 Boston St., Guilford, at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to The Guilford Foundation, c/o Alison Varian Scholarship Fund, PO Box 35, Guilford, CT 06437, or Meals on Wheels, 310 State St., Guilford CT 06437.
