Branford

Lynn Joyce Peckham, 66, of Branford, passed away on Dec. 11 after a long battle with kidney disease, with her daughters and son-in-law by her side. Born on May 27, 1953, in Waltham, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Steven D. Bergin and Mary R. (Healion) Bergin.

Lynn was a devout Catholic who loved to read and attended Harvard University in her youth. A free spirit, she traveled much of the world with her family and friends. She was an advocate for women and children in New Hampshire, and a volunteer at homeless shelters in Florida. She had an infectious laugh that will be missed by all, and a warm smile for everyone she met.

Lynn is survived by her daughter Stephanie Blier, husband Shane Blier, and grandson Asher Blier of Westbrook; and daughter Brittany Peckham and fiancé Joe Montuori of North Haven; and ex-husband David Peckham of Cape Cod, Massachusetts. She also leaves behind her sisters Denise, Stephanie, Carol, Mary, and brother Christopher, along with many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass for Lynn on Saturday, Jan. 18 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows in Essex. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Lynn’s name may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, kidney.org.

Lynn’s family would like to express their deep gratitude to the Yale-New Haven Hospital and US Renal Care in Branford for their wonderful care and support during her illness.
