Clinton

Nora Maureen Allen—mother, grandmother, beloved teacher, and friend—died on Nov. 13. She was 62.

Known as “Mrs. Luszcz” to more than two decades of kindergarteners and first-graders, Nora was absolutely devoted to her students and to Hebron Avenue School, where she taught. She also loved the beach, and made the hour-long commute to and from her home on the Connecticut shore every day in order to enjoy sunsets over the Long Island Sound. Nora was an active member of the First Church of Christ in Clinton, and spent many a summer’s day washing clothing donations in preparation for the annual Summer Fair. She also volunteered weekly at the Clinton Food Pantry.

In her spare time, Nora enjoyed spending time with friends and neighbors, walking along the beach with her dog Sadie, reading, gardening, and watching Red Sox and Patriots games. Her greatest love of all was spending time with her children and children-in-law, Dan, Maggie, Statia, and Jonathan, and grandsons Nolan and Ezra.

Memorial donations can be made to the Clinton Food Pantry, https://shorelinesoupkitchens.org/get-help-2/first-church-of-christ-clinton.
