George A. Ott, Sr., of Guilford, died Monday Nov. 11 at his home. He was the beloved husband of the late Janet Rubbo Ott. George was born in New Haven July 28, 1930, son of the late Arthur and Grace Carsten Ott.

He served in the US Air Force for two years. He was a foreman for the United Illuminating Company for forty years until retiring in 1995.

He is survived by his children Glenn (Carol) Ott of Florida, George “Chip” (Barbara) Ott of Guilford, and Sandy White (Ed McDermott) of Guilford; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and seven nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Alan Ott and sister Grace Collins.
