Jo–Ann R. Wheeler, Ledyard, formerly of Guilford, passed away Oct. 12 at the age of 76 at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital, New London.

She is survived by her son Keith Wheeler, his wife Renee Wheeler, and their four children Owen, Lillian, Aiden, and Noah of Tyngsboro, Massachusetts. She is also survived by a step-grandson, Brandon Wheeler. She was predeceased by a stepson, Michael Wheeler.

Jo–Ann was born in New Haven on Feb. 6, 1943, daughter of the late Louis and Frances (Angelic) Rebuzzini. Jo–Ann was a graduate of Southern Connecticut State University. Jo-Ann worked as a teacher in Groton and Guilford. Before retirement, she also worked as a card dealer at Foxwoods Casino.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, Oct. 18 at 11 a.m. in St. George Church, 33 Whitfield St., Guilford. Burial will follow Mass in St. George Cemetery, 5 Hubbard Rd., Guilford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lawrence and Memorial Hospital, c/o Palliative Care Services Development Office, In Honor of Jo-Ann R.
