Karl W. Mattson, 58, formerly of Branford, passed away peacefully on Aug. 21. He was born in New Haven on Sept. 14, 1960, to the late Martin W. Mattson and Constance Cardinal.

He was the brother of Barbara (Chip) Ott of Guilford, Susan Secondino of Stony Creek, and Bruce (Danise) Mattson of Florida. He leaves behind nieces, nephews, and several cousins.

Karl loved all kinds of music, and enjoyed attending concerts and family get-togethers.

A family gathering was held to honor Karl’s life.
