It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Chelsea Lorraine Klein. She was born at Middlesex Hospital on Nov. 9, 1990, and died at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital on July 23. She leaves behind her loving father Timothy Klein and mother Elizabeth Shapiro; her adoring sister Haleigh Klein; stepmother Tanya (Bates) Williams; grandparents Anna and Richard Klein; Gail Bates; fiance Michael Miller; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Chelsea was a graduate of Valley Regional High School’s class of 2009. She loved science, music, and art. She was a beautiful girl with a bubbly personality and infectious smile. She lit up a room with her bright blue eyes and great sense of humor.

Chelsea had many passions in her life, including hula hooping, jewelry making, geology, and hanging with her constant companions Rebekkah Jones and Brittany (McConnell) Schmoegner.

While growing up, she enjoyed attending the Deep River Congregational Church and the Teen Issues Group. She was a volunteer on the Midnight Run Mission Trip to New York City to bring awareness to the homeless.

Chelsea will always be remembered as a beautiful, tender-hearted young lady and will be deeply missed. Donations in Chelsea’s name can be sent to DRCC, PO Box 246, Deep River, CT 06417.
