Joseph B. Edwards, 90, of East Haven, died on June 20 at Apple Rehab of East Haven. He was the husband of the late Veronica Hulpa Edwards. He was born in Waterbury on July 28, 1928, to the late Joseph B. and Alga Christine Thomas Edwards.

Joseph worked for the State of Connecticut DOT, highway maintenance for many years, as well as at Timex and Risden Manufacturing in Southbury.

He is survived by two sons, Joseph M. Edwards of North Branford and Michael R. Edwards of Branford; a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Edwards of Branford; a brother, Daniel Edwards of Enfield, New Hampshire; 16 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Veronica Yvonne Edwards; a sister, Julie Edwards; and two brothers, Harry and Warren Edwards.

There was a graveside service held on June 26 at the Pine Grove Cemetery, Waterbury. There were no calling hours. The East Haven Memorial Longobardi–Brennan Funeral Home, 425 Main St., East Haven, 203-467-1708, was in charge of arrangements.
