Branford

After a long battle with cancer, Eileen F. Tornberg of Branford died peacefully April 25 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford, surrounded by her loving family. Eileen was born in New Haven July 2, 1946, daughter of the late Frank and Hollie Sangree Turbert.

She worked for many years as an inspector at Dana Manufacturing prior to retiring. Eileen was a fierce survivor of cancer throughout her life and a shining example of how life should be lived. Some of her favorite things in life were working hard, being at the beach, and dancing to her favorite songs.

Those things aside, her greatest love was for her family, nothing meant more to her, as she is survived by her children Robert (Gina) Blakeslee of Branford and Tammy (Gary) Milligan of Texas; her grandsons Brandon Milligan and Rob Blakeslee; her sister Kathleen Ferrara; and her niece, Kristina Ferrara. She was predeceased by her sister Dottie Turbert and her niece Nicole Ferrara. Her children are so grateful for the love of her lifelong friends, Lois Schloemann, Billie Nicholson, Maureen Norton, and their families.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of her family. Her online guest book can be found at www.wsclancy.com.
