Holly Lee DeCarli, 62, passed away April 30 at her home in Deep River. She was the daughter of the late Leona and Peter DeCarli of Chester. She was born in Middletown on Jan. 5, 1957, and was one of four children.

Surviving are her children Christopher Schmidt and his fiancé Ashley of Groton amd Heidi Chronister and her husband Jake of Pawcatuck. She also leaves her two grandchildren, and her siblings Denny DeCarli and his wife Pat, Doug DeCarli and his wife Bonnie, and Wayne DeCarli.

Holly spent many years as a dance instructor and most recently worked for the Valley Railroad in Essex. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and most of all days at the beach in Rhode Island. She was a beloved mother to her two children, and was a much loved member of the First Congregational Church of Deep River.

There will be a memorial service at 11 a.m. at the First Congregational Church of Deep River on Saturday, June 29. Memorial donations in Holly’s name may be made to the First Congregational Church of Deep River, 1 Church Street, Deep River, CT 06417.
