Robert Dwayne Sprayberry, 67, of Chester passed away peacefully on April 19 with his beloved wife of 30 years, Charlene (Greeney) Sprayberry, at his side. He was the son of the late Johnny and Catherine (McCall) Sprayberry.

Besides his beloved wife Charlene, Bob leaves behind his children Quiana Peralta (William) of Old Saybrook and Tabitha Megan of Chester; his three grandchildren, Ashton, Isabelle, and Billy; and his brothers and sisters Barbra Bassenberg of Jasper, Alabama, Ronnie Sprayberry of Carlton, Georgia, Patricia Smith of Crystal, Maine, Connie Altmansberger of Oakfield, Maine, and Lindy Boone of Westbrook. He was predeceased by his sisters Cherry Porter and Lena Boone, and his daughter Jessica Marie.

Bob was a character, a social bee who just loved to talk. He loved playing cards at family gatherings, fishing with his friend Josh, and gardening.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on June 2 at 3:00 p.m. at The Essex Veterans Memorial Hall, 3 Westbrook Rd. in Centerbrook.
