Edith Rutty passed away on March 12. She was born on March 23, 1921, to Orrin and Florence Cutler in Guilford.

Edith brought so much light into so many lives and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She enjoyed Sunday dinners with the family, making crab cakes, flowers, puzzles, knitting, and her little dog. In her later years, she enjoyed shopping with both family and her caregivers, family get togethers, and visits.

Edith spent many years working at RR Donnelly and Sons, retiring at the age of 62.

She was skilled in filleting fish, boning shad, and picking out crabs.

She is survived by her sisters Mabel (Charlie) Herrschaft and Norma Jurzick; four sons, Elmer (Carolyn Dale) Rutty, Rob (Kim) Rutty, Phil (Deb) Rutty, and Gary (Tammie) Rutty; and daughter Bobbie Shaw. She also leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind close family friends and extended family.

Edith was predeceased by her daughter Florence (Sis) Schneider, her son Reginald (Butch) Rutty, and daughter-in-law April (Swain) Rutty.

There will be no services.

Edith will be remembered for her strong will, caring soul, and love for life. Soar high and shoot like the star you were.
