Mary Dib, 84, of Madison, beloved wife of the late Albert Dib, passed away on March 9 in The Hearth at Tuxis Pond Assisted Living Facility. Mary was born in New York City, New York, on Nov. 2, 1934, the daughter of the late John and Susan (Hamilton) Toerner.

She was gentle, giving, and devoted to her family and her church. She was the loving mother of Susan Norton of Dublin, Ireland; John Dib of Inwood, New York; Arthur Dib of Bloomfield, New Jersey; Robert Dib of Madison; and Albert Dib of Hackensack, New Jersey. She also leaves her three grandchildren, Declan, Maisie, and Marley. She will be missed by Donal Norton, Jen Dib, and Jeanne Dib. She is also survived by her brother James H. Toerner of Bronx, New York.

Her family will receive relatives and friends on March 15 at 4 p.m. at the Impelliterri Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave., New London. A Funeral Service will be held on March 16 at 11 a.m. in St. Ann’s Melkite Greek Catholic Church, 41 Cross Rd., Waterford, CT 06385. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. Donations in lieu of flowers may go to SARAH Tuxis Residential and Community Services, 49 Boston St., Guilford, CT 06437.

Mary’s family is thankful to the caregivers at The Hearth and Vitas Hospice Care, and to her fellow parishioners at St. Ann’s, who have been attentive during this difficult time.
