George Paul Bosnak, 87, of Ivoryton passed away peacefully on Feb. 17. He was born June 15, 1931, in Amburst, Pennsylvania, to the late John and Mary (Liga) Bosnak.

George is survived by his loving wife of more than 61 years, Angela (Ranelli) Bosnak; two children, Christiana Fusari and her husband Robert of Old Lyme, and Eric Bosnak and his wife Lesley of Centerbrook; along with one grandson, Robby Fusari III. George is also survived by his brother Joseph Bosnak and his wife Donna of Woodbury, Tennessee; and numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and -nephews, and great-great-nieces and -nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Peter Bosnak, John Bosnak, Nicholas Bosnak, Sonia Attanasio, Marie Maloney, Susan Falco, and Helen Shultz.

George proudly served in the US Army in Japan during the Korean conflict. He was employed by Southern New England Telephone Company for 35 years. He was a member of the Experimental Aviation Association, designing and building his own glider, and loved to indulge his artistic side with pen and ink drawings. He will be sorely missed by the friends and family who loved him so much.

Family and friends are invited to meet and attend a Mass of Christian burial on Feb. 23 at 10:30 a.m. in St. John’s Roman Catholic Church, 161 Main St., Old Saybrook, with Committal to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Westbrook. Funeral services are under the care of Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven.
