East Haven, Branford

Elizabeth (Crowley) Mulvey, 92, of East Haven and Branford passed away peacefully on Jan. 27. She was born March 19, 1926, in Austin, Massachusetts, to John F. and Mae Traub (Rausch) Crowley.

Elizabeth is survived by her loving children Maureen Levatino (Phil) of East Haven, Holly Mulvey of Branford, Nancy Grindley (Chris) of Milford, Cindy Mulvey (Art Konstantino) of Florida, and Tim Mulvey of New Haven. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Susan Levatino, Cheryl Levatino, Russ Urquhart, Eric Urquhart, Dan Gindley, Kaitlyn Mulvey, and Joseph Mulvey; and a sister, Kathy MacGregor (Tom) of Clinton. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; husband Joseph Mulvey (1977); and brother Jack Crowley.

Devoted wife and mother, Elizabeth found her joy in her family. She spent time in her early years working for SNET, later at Commercial Union Insurance. She enjoyed gardening, crosswords, reading, dining out, and travel.

The family will receive friends on Feb. 1 from 9 to 10:40 a.m. at the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Her funeral procession will then leave Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home for an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian burial in St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 80 Taylor Ave., East Haven, with Committal to follow at St. Agnes Cemetery, Branford.
