Beatrice E. (Wolfe) Armstead, 91, longtime resident of Guilford, passed away peacefully Jan. 10 surrounded by her loving family at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She was the wife of the late George F. Armstead. Beatrice was born in North Haven on Aug. 26, 1927, daughter of the late Randall J. Wolfe and Olive Irene (Warner) Wolfe.

She was the mother of Harry Wolfe and his wife Deborah of Milford; grandmother of Holly Morgan and Jennifer Searles; and great-grandmother of Courtney, Jordan, Anthony, Donald, and Hailey. She was the sister of Randall Wolfe, Jr., and Emily Haberin and the late Caroline Spencer. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Before retiring Beatrice was employed by the Town of Guilford for more than twenty years. She enjoyed traveling, crocheting, knitting, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Friends were invited to calling hours on Jan. 17 at the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church St., Guilford. Funeral services followed at the Guilford Funeral Home. Burial was held in Alder Brook Cemetery, Boston Street, Guilford.
