Margaret McGuire, 72, of East Haven passed away Jan. 7 at Connecticut Hospice. She was born Dec. 6, 1946, in New Haven to Francis and Dorothy (Lemmen) McGuire.

Margaret is survived by her aunt Agnes Argento of East Haven; godson Andrew Argento of East Haven; dear friend Andree Hostetler; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother Francis McGuire; and maternal grandparents Andrew and Margaret Lemmen.

Margaret was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in New Haven, class of 1964, and retired employee of the Regional Water Authority with more than 25 years of service. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling to Europe, Southeast Asia, and Italy, which was her favorite to visit.

The family will receive friends from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12 at the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven, at which time her procession will leave for an 11 a.m. graveside service at St. Lawrence Cemetery, 280 Derby Ave., West Haven.
