Old Saybrook

Angela “Mickey” Civitello Donato, 92, of Old Saybrook, beloved wife of the late John “Red” Donato, passed away on Dec. 28 in Gladeview Rehabilitation & Health Care Center.

She was the loving mother of Jacqueline (Robert) Bousquet of Killingworth and the late Carol Donato; grandmother of Robert and Nicholas Bousquet, Angelo Bogan, and the late Gregory Bousquet; and great-grandmother of Noah and Henry Bousquet and Grayson and Brandon Bogan. She was the sister of Paula (Michael) Purificato of Cheshire, Gloria Scalese of North Carolina, Josephine Bradley of West Haven, Patricia Pantani of Hamden, and the late Rose Coppola, Doris Roma, Ann Jeakins, Mary Albee, Sue Bello, and Anthony and Dominic Civitello. Mickey was born in New Haven on May 24, 1926, daughter of the late Paul and Elizabeth D’Amato Civitello.

Prior to her retirement Mickey was a retail manager for the former Macy’s of New Haven.

Relatives and friends went directly to St. Lawrence Church in Killingworth on Dec. 31 to celebrate a Mass of Christian burial. Interment followed in Evergreen Cemetery in Killingworth.
