Ferdinand “Fred” Martin Beaber, beloved husband of the late Roma Beaber, passed away on Dec. 27, at Middlesex Health.

Fred was the son of the late Louis and Agnes Beaber and was a lifelong resident of Westbrook. He was retired after working many years for the Town of Westbrook. He was very proud of his service to his country in both the Army and Connecticut Air National Guard. He enjoyed stock car racing and was the proud owner of the 716 stock car that raced at the Waterford Speed Bowl.

Fred was predeceased by his two sisters, Violet Miezejeski and Louise Ryon; and his three brothers, Edward, Louis, and Andrew Beaber. He is survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Graveside services will be held at Cypress Cemetery in Westbrook on Jan. 5 at 10:30 a.m. Donations in Fred’s memory may be made to the Westbrook Ambulance Association, 1316 Boston Post Rd., Westbrook, CT 06498.
