East Hartford

Nicholas G. “Nicky” Attardo was born on July 11, 1984. It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that our most loved son has passed away on Dec. 14 at St. Francis Hospital. He was surrounded by his mother Julie M. Treat and his father Biagino J. Attardo. He was our life as he was our only child. We take solace in knowing that he will be reunited with his best childhood friend Anthony Moscato of East Haven.

He loved running his successful eBay store. He was an avid Red Sox fan and was so happy they won the World Series. He was a kind, gentle soul with a wonderful sense of humor, always playing pranks. He loved nice cars and he would drive his Corvette with the top down to the beach. He spent his happiest years living in East Haven when he was a teenager. He was also an avid dirt bike rider and was excellent at it. He once raced at the New Haven Coliseum. His ashes will be scattered in the ocean in front of his grandfather’s house 212-A Cosey Beach Ave., East Haven.

He leaves behind his parents and three sets of grandparents, Robert and Marilyn Treat, Anthony and Gloria Attardo, and Sal and Josephine Stylle. He leaves behind his aunts and uncles Dino and Nino Attardo, Susan Kaczor, Christine Castellano, Robert Treat, Paul, Michael, and Leona Attardo, and Eleni, Chris, George, and Stevie Stylle. He also leaves behind many cousins, aunts, uncles, and close friends.

A Christian Mass will be celebrated at St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish, 80 Taylor St., East Haven, on Dec. 22 at 10 a.m. Everyone is asked to meet at the church and directly afterward we will have the scattering of his ashes, followed by a celebration of his life at his house, 173 Greenmanor Dr., East Hartford. Although he is no longer with us in person, he will always be with us in thought and spirit; his love lives on. He was an amazing and beautiful son who is now on his way to his next journey. Although his time was short, we were so blessed to have had him.
