Julia Chipokas Coulston, age 105, died Dec. 12 at the Masonicare Health Center in Wallingford. She was the wife of the late James Coulston. Julia was born in Lakeport, New Hampshire, on Feb. 22, 1913, to George and Anna Mingin Chipokas.

She leaves behind her son George Coulston (Florence) of North Haven; grandchildren Sarah Coulston Lockery (Joseph) of Branford, George Coulston, Jr., (Donna) of Gibsonia, Pennsylvania, and Jennifer Coulston of North Haven. She also leaves great-grandchildren Christina and Michael Coulston, and Jane and Rose Lockery. She was predeceased by siblings Joseph, Lucy, Mary, Peter, and Paul.

Julia was a longtime resident of the Fair Haven section of New Haven and worked many years at the Majestic Silver Company.

The family wishes to thank everyone at Masonicare who took care of Julia “JuJu” during her eight years as a resident there, especially everyone on Ramage Six for both the excellent medical care received and for their personal comforting, compassion, and friendship.
