East Haven

Patricia Mattei Cimino, 76, beloved wife of Anthony S. Cimino, Sr., of East Haven passed away Dec. 3 in the St. Raphael Campus surrounded by her loving family. Patrcia was born in New Haven on May 4, 1942, a daughter of the late Amedio and Madeline Acampora Mattei.

Prior to her retirement, Patricia worked in the cafeteria of several East Haven Schools and was known as the “Lunch Lady” for many years; she also worked for Aramark Refreshments. She was a volunteer at the Food Pantry and a communicant of Our Lady of Pompeii Church.

She was the loving mother of Steven (Eileen) Cimino of Branford, Anthony S. (Kathleen) Cimino, Jr., of Guilford, Alicia Cimino and companion Fred Crampton, and Mark Cimino and companion Mollie Driscoll, all of East Haven, and Paul Cimino of Mystic. She was the caring grandmother of Steven John (Nicole) Cimino, and Brandon, Francesca, Joel, Nicholas, Madelynn, and Logan Cimino. She was predeceased by a sister, Linda Catalano.

Her funeral procession left the Porto Funeral Home, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80), East Haven, Dec. 7. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in the St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at Our Lady of Pompeii Church. Interment followed in All Saints Cemetery. Friends called Dec. 6.
