Clinton

Leslie Wohlstrom, 48, of Clinton, lost her short and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer on Dec. 2.

Leslie loved all things nature and enjoyed hiking in Chatfield Hollow with her children, sharing a walk at the ocean, or hunting for that next “cool project.” She was an accomplished artist with a specialty for drawing or creating things with her hands, although she would never let anyone tell her so. She was also the family photographer and captured many beautiful moments in this way throughout her life.

She loved her family and friends with all her heart and people who knew her would feel her hugs even after she let go. She was a force to be reckoned with and stubborn beyond measure, but she always got the job done and taught the people around her along the way. It was this fierce love and strong capability that made her an accomplished CDL driver, where she spent the last eight years of her career as a driver for the Madison School district. She loved seeing her students during her work day from kindergarten through high school and those families loved her back ten-fold. Her work family supported her more than words can say, and her parents thank them for that. Her biggest and most proud accomplishment in life was being the mother to her two beautiful twins.

She is survived by her children Augusta Lauren and Allan Jr. of Clinton; her mother and father Diane and Glen Villane of Maine; her sister Leah Rideout and her husband Kris Rideout of Maine; her brother Daniel Barber of Maine; her sister Laura Micolletti of Maine; her special niece Ruby Rideout; and two special nephews, Isaak and William Rideout of Maine. In honor of Leslie’s wishes, there will be no funeral services. In lieu of flowers, her children and family request donations be made in her name to Middlesex Hospital Cancer Center, 540 Saybrook Rd., Middletown, CT 06457.
