Clinton

Warren H. Richards, Jr., 92, of Clinton died Dec. 2 at home with his family members by his side. He was the husband of Ann Olson Richards, and predeceased by his parents Ethel Going Richards and Warren Richards, Sr.

Warren was born in Clinton, where he spent his whole life except for two years serving in the U.S. Army during World War II. He owned and operated the Clinton Nurseries with his family. He graduated from Morgan High School, Class of 1944. He was a former member of the Clinton Board of Education, Clinton Rotary Club, Clinton Country Club, Hillard-Jones-Cookson American Legion Post 66, and was active in many other community projects.

Besides his wife he is survived by three sons, Mark Richards (Debbie), David Richards (Holly) of Clinton, and Peter Richards (Michele) of Killingworth; and seven grandchildren, Michael, Kyle, Matthew, Drew, Meredith, Dominique, and Ryland. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.

Friends and relatives are invited to the Clinton Country Club, Rte. 145, Clinton, Dec. 8 from 1 to 4 p.m., with a remembrance of his life at 3:30 p.m. Services have been entrusted to Carl Swan of Hamden Memorial Funeral Home, 1300 Dixwell Ave., Hamden.
